About the role

Job Description Our solis optics Vancouver - W Broadway location is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience with you and join us as an Optical Associate!

If you have a passion for style and helping customers find their perfect fit, as well as experience in retail customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

This position is a part-time role working 20-29 hours per week.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and quality
  • Informing patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions as well as assisting with the selection of frames to suit your client's aesthetic and performance needs
  • Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometrist
  • Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of new eyewear and performing repairs and adjustments to returning patients'
  • Placing Contact Lens orders and assisting with fittings
  • Communicating with patients in person, by phone, and by email
  • Billing the patient, their medical service provider and other third parties
  • Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts and billing and payments
  • Warmly greeting patients as they enter our clinic
  • Upholding excellent customer service standards using your charisma and problem-solving skills

What Do You Bring?

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing, preferably retail environment preferred
  • Previous optical experience is considered an asset
  • Passionate about customer service
  • A high level of comfort using technology and computers
  • A great communicator who can provide exceptional patient care
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

FYihealth group aims to create a comprehensive rewards package to attract and retain top talent. The expected compensation for this position is between $19.19 to $22.51 hourly, considering factors like experience, skills, and qualifications.
