Division Overview:
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees, and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. We currently have an opening for an SPC Coordinator at our manufacturing facility located in the Foothills Industrial Park in south-east Calgary. The successful candidate will report directly to the Quality Manager. This position is on-site.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Position Overview:

Monitor and maintain MSA gauges.
-
Evaluate and provide feedback to improve manufacturing, quality, and capacity.
-
Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel in the application of statistical tools and problem-solving techniques.
Technical Support to Management Team
-
Provide statistical analysis of plant manufacturing performance.
-
Conduct statistical evaluations of new and existing equipment to determine process capability and process performance analysis studies.
-
Manage SPC training program for salaried and hourly personnel.
Technical Support to Plant Personnel
-
Conduct training in basic SPC principles, tools, and applications.
-
Conduct training in the application of statistical problem-solving techniques.
-
Coach hourly personnel in the use of SPC tools and software on the plant floor.
-
Provide process analysis to QA Manager and Quality Team on plant performance, including monthly PPR requirements and weekly statistical reports.
-
Conduct Gauge R&R, Stability, and Accuracy studies.
-
Support establishment and monitoring of gauge maintenance, calibration, and housekeeping programs.
-
Provide training in the use of statistical software packages (NWA, JMP).

Assist with plant SOP training and development.

Support Corporate Quality with the maintenance of quality network systems.
Project Management / Teamwork Groups

Lead Six Sigma and Lean Process Improvement Teams.

Generate monthly Customer’s COA’s.

Procedures & Policies.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Three or more years of quality/engineering experience including at least two years of manufacturing experience.
ASQ CQE and/or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Statistical Software experience (e.g., NWA, JMP, Minitab).
Advanced knowledge in Lean Six Sigma and SPC tools.
Advanced Gauge Capability analysis.
Intermediate/Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office 365.
Analytical skills (ability to objectively evaluate data and perform statistical analysis).
Technical Writing skills.
Communication skills (verbal and written).
