About the role

We’re looking for a motivated, customer-focused Community Engagement & Energy Sales Specialist to support natural gas expansion across growing communities in Ontario.

Agilus is recruiting for an Energy Sales & Community Development Specialist in the Energy Industry in a hybrid work environment in Brantford, Ontario. In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for homeowners and businesses exploring natural gas as an energy option—educating them on benefits, guiding them through the connection process, and helping resolve questions or issues along the way.

A Typical Day

  • Conduct door-to-door outreach, cold calling, and participate in events (in-person & virtual) to promote natural gas connections.
  • Address customer questions, escalations, and service-related concerns
  • Update and maintain community spreadsheets, customer contact lists, ArcGIS entries, tracking sheets, and SAP tables
  • Manage the Community Expansion email inbox and respond to inquiries
  • Prepare community kickoff materials, handover packages, and presentation content.
  • Participate in marketing, outreach, and engagement events representing the organization
  • Analyze and reconcile data discrepancies in PowerBI and other internal systems.

Successful Candidates Will Have

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or similar.
  • 2–4 years of successful B2C and/or B2B sales experience
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Maximo, e-GIS, GetConnected, CCWS, SAP, or ArcGIS. - Nice to have
  • Knowledge of natural gas systems, energy products, or utility operations will be an asset
  • Frequent travelling, including evenings and weekends, mainly within Ontario is required

Total Rewards

  • $26.00 hourly
  • One year contract position
  • Location: Brantford or Waterloo
  • Hybrid: 3 days in office (Mon/Tues/Thurs) and 2 days remote (Wed/Friday)
  • Travel is required and would be about 20%

  • Drivers abstract is required due to some driving to other offices.
