- Deep knowledge of Toronto Hydro Standard Design Practice (SDP) and construction standards is mandatory.
- Extensive experience with civil utility projects, including duct bank installation/rerouting, cable chambers, underground tunneling, secondary service installations, splice/tap boxes, switchgear foundations, and customer-owned underground structures.
- Proficiency in non-linear pole loading analysis using SpidaCalc (verifying conductor inputs, guying, and pole capacity). Ability to perform manual and software-based cable pulling calculations (e.g., Pull Planner) and voltage drop calculations.
- Thorough understanding of City of Toronto Municipal Consent Requirements (MCR), including full stream and short stream cut permits.
- Knowledge of Toronto Regional Conservation Authority (TRCA) requirements.
