About the role

Position Title Sales Executive, Chengdu (TFU)

Report To Regional Manager, Greater China and Hong Kong

Position Summary Support Regional Sales Manager, Greater China and Hong Kong in implementing sales initiatives, exploring market opportunities, maintaining and developing sales channels, and executing marketing plans and sales analytics to achieve sales targets.

Key Accountability

  • Support Regional Manager, Greater China and Hong Kong, in implementing daily sales activities and take responsibility for achieving revenue targets and market share objectives.
  • Monitor international relations and economic trends in China and globally, analyze market dynamics, and stay updated on industry developments and competitor activities. Provide timely reports to the line manager, identify growth opportunities, and adjust operational and sales strategies as required.
  • Promote the airline’s products and services effectively, including MHexplore, MHcruise, MHsport, MHrail, MHcorporate, BST, and others.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with travel agencies, OTAs, corporate clients, TMCs, MICE service agencies, government bodies, and other key stakeholders to increase sales opportunities and strengthen the airline’s market presence.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, contracts, and terms (e.g., AFIS, hard block buy-ups, MHbiz Plus discounts, CUG) with travel agencies, corporate clients, and other partners to secure profitable sales arrangements.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, tourism bureau roadshows, embassy events, and organize joint roadshows with partners to develop new relationships, expand business opportunities, and promote the company brand.
  • Organize and participate in regular agency training sessions, update agencies on new products, prices, and packages, promote the company’s brand, and gather feedback to better understand agency needs.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to develop promotional campaigns, advertising initiatives, and other marketing activities to support sales efforts and enhance brand awareness.
  • Undertake business trips to second- and third-tier cities to maintain and develop cooperation with agencies and clients around Chengdu, with the aim of reaching more customers outside Chengdu.
  • Organize the annual appreciation dinner for top agencies to acknowledge their support, strengthen relationships, and foster deeper cooperation for the coming year.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with Chinese local airlines to support CN flight sales and achieve win-win cooperation through arrangements such as domestic add-ons, SPA, and codeshare agreements.
  • Build cross-industry collaborations with schools, hotels, banks, high-end clubs, and other partners to expand sales opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing sales activities, including pricing regulations, fare rules, and contractual obligations.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints related to sales activities, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and other documentation to provide management with insights into sales performance and market trends.

Qualification & Working Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • 3 years of working experience in sales & marketing or related field
  • Airlines work experience will be prioritized
