Job Description:

The Salvation Army is seeking a visionary and strategic Business Analysis Practice Lead to champion the development and excellence of its Business Analysis (BA) Practice. This role is responsible for building a community of skilled practitioners, standardizing methodologies, and ensuring high-quality delivery of business analysis across the organization. Key Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Business Analysis Practice aligned with organizational goals.
  • Methodology Development: Define, implement, and maintain standardized BA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Team Mentorship: Lead, coach, and grow a team of business analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure consistency and accuracy in BA deliverables through rigorous quality standards.
  • Practice Innovation: Act as a change agent, continuously evolving the BA practice to meet emerging business needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective BA outcomes.
  • Talent Management: Oversee hiring, resource planning, and succession strategies for the BA team.
  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to evaluate and enhance business processes across the organization.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Promote a community of practice and center of excellence for business analysis.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure all BA activities align with The Salvation Army’s mission, values, and policies.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or related field; CBAP or equivalent certification.
  • 10+ years in business analysis with proven leadership in managing BA teams.
  • Ability to align BA strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of BA tools, techniques, and SDLC/agile methodologies. Strong mentoring, coaching, and people management capabilities.
  • Skilled in understanding and addressing stakeholder needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in evaluating and enhancing business processes.
  • Proven ability to unite diverse teams toward common goals.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $100,390.71 to $125,488.38 with a maximum of $150,586.06.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
