About the role
Supporting a boutique engineering firm expanding its Canadian presence, we’re hiring a Senior Technical Lead to help shape the next phase of growth. This is a foundational leadership role for someone who enjoys staying hands‑on technically while also driving solutioning, pre‑sales, architecture, and engineering excellence.
You’ll be one of the core technical voices in Canada—representing credibility with clients and partners, guiding delivery, mentoring engineers, and influencing future offerings.
What you’ll own
- Leading mission‑critical software delivery while staying close to architecture and engineering
- Solving complex technical problems and guiding architectural decisions
- Owning solutioning, estimating, and technical narratives for proposals and pre‑sales conversations
- Acting as the technical authority in client meetings, partner discussions, and executive conversations
- Contributing to market offerings, accelerators, and internal tooling (including AI and agentic SDLC capabilities)
- Building presence in the engineering community through content, events, and cloud‑partner collaboration
- Mentoring engineers, shaping hiring needs, and helping build a high‑performing technical team
- Influencing technical direction, engineering standards, and future market offerings
What they’re looking for
- 10+ years in software engineering with strong technical leadership
- Deep cloud expertise across AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong architecture background and comfort solving complex technical problems
- Demonstrated pre‑sales / solutioning experience (critical requirement)
- Hands‑on technical depth—this is not a purely managerial role
- Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences
- Interest in thought leadership and contributing to the engineering community
