About the role

Position Summary

River Rock Casino Resort is looking for an energetic Seamstress/Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. You will be responsible for the repair or alteration of the uniforms, linens, blankets, spreads, sheets and table linens and maintain production levels of laundry throughout the hotel while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Repairs and inspect linens, uniforms, etc.
  • Hand sews or machine sews as required
  • Complete repairs for guests on clothing as required
  • Clean and launder using the commercial washing machines and dryers
  • Ironing as required
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

  • Available to work up to 40 hours per week in a variety of shifts including early morning and weekends as we operate 24 hour per day, seven days a week
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Energetic, highly motivated
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development

Work Environment Considerations

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule. The scheduled hours of work will be based on business needs.
