(effective October 1, 2025) Hours per Week: Up to 28 hours Position Location: PCCP Headquarters (310 Armour Rd. Peterborough) Position Group: Unionized, CUPE 1306 Inside Competition #: 1306-26-10 Job Description: Fleet & Equipment Technician What you'll do: The Fleet & Equipment Technician is a vital role within the Peterborough County-City Paramedics (PCCP) division. This position will be responsible for various aspects related to fleet, equipment and supply management, including procurement, distribution, specification development, licensing, maintenance and decommission to ensure compliance with Provincial Legislation and Regulations, Corporate Policies and MOHLTC Certification standards. This position reports to the Deputy Chief, Operations, however, day to day workflow is facilitated through the Fleet and Equipment Lead. Fleet Management: Maintain mechanical vehicle readiness at all times and ensure fleet meets required legislated standards. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct maintenance and schedule repairs of all equipment, including but not limited to stretchers, medical equipment, and vehicle technology. Inventory Management: Ensure appropriate and cost effective usage and deployment of equipment and supplies inventory and paramedic uniforms. Ensures the rotation of stock at all stations in an effort to decrease expired medications and equipment. In accordance with County Policy, a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check that is acceptable to the County will be required as a condition of employment. This job is for you if… Our non-negotiables: You have a diploma or degree in Materials Management or related discipline. You have a valid "G" Class drivers license and a clean drivers abstract.
