DESCRIPTION
The IT Asset Administrator is responsible for managing and tracking all Hardware and software assets within the organization. This includes ensuring seamless provisioning, tracking, and lifecycle management of IT Assets and might include proper documentation, maintaining inventory records, and assisting in asset lifecycle management. The role involves coordination with various departments to ensure compliance with asset management policies and procedures.
This is an onsite role based in our office environment in Mississauga & Toronto, ON. Candidates must be able to work onsite five days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT and software assets.
- Track the lifecycle of hardware and software assets from acquisition to disposal across Multiple regions
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely purchase of hardware and software assets.
- Develop and implement IT asset management policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with IT asset management standards.
- Provide support in asset tagging, asset movement, and asset disposal processes.
- Generate reports on asset status, utilization, and lifecycle.
- Ensure software license compliance and manage software renewals.
- Assist in the daily operations of IT support and deployment functions, ensuring alignment with company strategic objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Hardware and software asset management or a related role is preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Azure AD.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Security Groups and cloud‑based device management.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools is preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with ITIL practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of compliance standards related to IT asset management is desired.
