About the role

Cannon Automotive Solutions a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Department Administrator in our Windsor, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Department Administrator is responsible for supporting the daily operations . The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a stamping environment, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary Of Responsibilities

  • Timekeeping/Payroll for plant, back up support for sister plants and contingent workforce.
  • Assist with the full cycle recruitment process of our General Labour and Part-Time labour pool, including screening, evaluation, interviewing and onboarding candidates
  • Manage Part-Time workforce, scheduling, and all correspondences, back up scheduling support for contingent workforce.
  • Initial point of contact for employee touchpoints.
  • Oversee HR Orientation for new hires.
  • Input all onboarding documents in to the HRIS system, new hires into PPE vending machine and request access badges.
  • Distribute, collect, and retain training documents.
  • Administer clothing allowance program through Cintas.
  • Provide administrative support to key departments at respective facility.
  • Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material, co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations.
  • Order and maintain office supply inventory.
  • Answer and relay phone and electronic enquiries.
  • Assist in the organization of company events
  • Greet visitors, verify ID, ascertain nature of business and direct visitors to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or 1-3 years experiences in an administrative type role
  • Experience administering payroll processes
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Human Resources is an asset
