About the role

Primary Purpose

To support Marks ever-evolving business needs and act as an integral member of the team.

As a Demand Planner, you’ll manage daily resource allocation, balancing short- and long-term project needs. From scheduling to freelance onboarding, you’ll keep teams running efficiently, solving gaps before they become roadblocks.

In the face of demanding deadlines, multiple, rapidly changing priorities, you will support and exhibit

behaviors consistent with Marks values and beliefs in a fiscally responsible manner.

Reporting To: Global Demand Planner

The Demand Planner will work hybrid out of the Toronto office 2-3 days per week

General Overview

The Demand Planner will collaborate with the broader Demand Planning team, as well as Client Service and Programme teams, to identify resourcing needs and assist in casting the apprioate talent whether it be internal or freelance and across portfolios where applicable.

The role will advocate our culture, brand and community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying short-, medium-, and long-term resourcing needs for assigned businesses.
  • Support the building of internal and freelance pipelines
  • Work with Dir, Agency Operations and Global Demand Planner to help shape talent deployment across portfolios, identifying resource gaps
  • Coordinate requests for freelance or variable labor support
  • Working with Client Service, Programme and Operations teams, help coordinate the flow of work into offshore studios and ensure requirements are clearly communicated
  • Assist in casting internal and freelance talent for project work in partner with Design Leaders and Senior Demand Planner.
  • Support the onboarding/offboarding for Freelance talents in your assigned business (ensuring compliance with processes).
  • Join regular stand-ups with account and workflow-aligned teams to monitor workflow and availability
  • Escalate scheduling clashes or risks to senior team members and assist in smoothing workflows as directed.
  • Manages requests that at times need to be handled with a quick turnaround
  • Assist in the flow of information throughout all departments. Reporting to Sr Demand Planner and Global Demand planner about current workflow and capacity issues.
  • Participates in and supports agency business objectives appropriate to role (e.g. quality objectives, company policies)
  • Responsible for purchasing fonts and stock photography

Success In The Role

priorities with internal and external clients, and make sound decisions to ensure the business moves forward.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in a directly related field
  • College or University diploma in related field
  • Willingness and flexibility to accept direction
  • Open to a flexible work schedule
  • Proficient using Mac OS, and Microsoft Products

The Ontario pay range for this position is $49,112 CAD to $61,390 CAD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's experience, skills, knowledge, and other job-related factors.
