Job Overview:

The role works closely across our entire Procurement team working with Head of Procurement for Canada to support the development of our strategic plan to deliver cost improvement.

Owner of all strategic Canadian Operational Non-Commercial Overheads costs and projects. Projects will range in scope but will cover our ability to transform data to drive financial insight and improvements.

Duties:

  • Supporting the business cycle as the owner of material price metrics, ensuring a direct link to financials

  • Working with the business to understand gaps and develop projects to improve performance

  • Evaluating risk and assessing other factors concerning the supply market, and making recommendations

  • Responsible for managing the financial forecasting process. Ensuring consistency between business results and forecasted costs in addition to identifying high impact cost reduction opportunities

  • Reviewing discrepancies and working with package owners to develop projects or opportunities to help close the major gaps

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential buyers and suppliers to the company

  • Managing financial instruments, such as commodity hedge and FX accounting

  • Spending variance analysis

  • Leading Procurement of goods and services for Non-Commercial Indirect categories totaling $120M in spend

  • Being the owner of our spend (including setting policies, building budget, routine analysis, and initiative identification to drive cost efficiencies

  • Challenging our operations on targets, and assisting in finding cost saving opportunities throughout the year – including but not limited to price and consumption savings opportunities

  • Responding to customer service inquiries and clarifying requirements and providing information as needed

  • Creating and maintaining visibility into our spend and providing VP Procurement with direction on areas of opportunity/how to reallocate resources

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • Management Accounting designation is preferred

  • 3+ years in a business environment, including brewery operational experience and experience in procurement

  • Previous ownership and competency of overhead packages that include: Fees, Leases and Rentals, Services, Travel, Utilities, Institutional, People, Legal Services, Technology, Maintenance, Taxes, Supply Chain Losses

  • Must have experience procuring/managing a portfolio of over $100 million

  • Strong experience within both US and CAN business environments

  • Strong knowledge of both US and CAN business and consumer culture

  • Candidate has been apart of a CPG training program.

  • Ability to simplify complex issues.

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strong attention to detail and business acumen

  • Strong knowledge of operational processes, KPIs, and risk management

  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders, groups, and teams across multiple countries

  • The capacity to manage a wide range of multiple priorities

  • Ability to resolve issues with Technical and Business solutions

  • Ability Work multiple projects & stakeholders simultaneously

  • Background in Continuous Improvement projects (Lean or Six Sigma)

  • Strong communication and ability to manage multiple internal and external organizational relationships

  • Demonstrated accountability, collaboration as part of a team, and being customer focused, all while driving

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details

  • Technical Competencies: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SAP, PowerBI & PowerPoint.
