Shipping Coordinator

Maple Leaf Ropes Full-Time | In-Person Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM $20.00–$24.00 per hour
About the Role We are seeking a Shipping and Logistics Coordinator to oversee our daily shipping operations. This role is responsible for coordinating freight, preparing shipping documentation, communicating with carriers and customers, and ensuring shipments are delivered on schedule. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple shipments in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities Coordinate domestic and international shipments. Arrange transportation with LTL, FTL, courier, and parcel carriers. Obtain freight quotes and select the most appropriate shipping methods. Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries. Prepare bills of lading, shipping labels, customs documentation, commercial invoices, and other required shipping paperwork. Track shipments and provide status updates to customers and internal teams. Resolve shipping delays, freight claims, and transportation issues. Communicate with carriers, freight brokers, and customers to ensure timely delivery. Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation. Work closely with production and sales teams to ensure shipments are scheduled according to customer requirements. Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency and reduce freight costs. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures.
Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, transportation, or logistics coordination. Experience with domestic and cross border shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, customs paperwork, and export documentation. Knowledge of freight carriers, courier services, LTL and FTL shipping. Proficiency with Google Workspace and shipping or ERP software. Experience with Acumatica is an asset. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and problem solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
