Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Investor Relations that will play a lead role in driving Basecamp’s capital raising initiatives, managing investor relationships, and supporting the successful closing of investment rounds. Acting as a primary contact for current and prospective investors, Exempt Market Dealers (EMDs), and family offices, this role blends fundraising execution, relationship management, and compliance oversight to support Basecamp’s growth objectives.
Shifts: Full-time permanent.
Salary: $110,000-$130,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & Investor Engagement
- Lead investor-facing communication across fundraising activities, serving as a trusted contact for prospective and existing LPs.
- Manage investment closings end-to-end, ensuring an efficient and compliant process.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with HNWIs, family offices, institutions, EMDs, trust agents, and legal counsel.
- Prepare and deliver investor presentations, marketing materials, and offering content to support active and future raises.
- Represent Basecamp in investor meetings, webinars, and site tours.
Investor Communication & Reporting
- Oversee quarterly investor reporting, monthly fund updates, and distribution of tax documentation.
- Handle investor inquiries in a timely and effective manner, ensuring satisfaction and repeat participation.
- Align communications with senior leadership to ensure consistent messaging on project updates and fundraising milestones.
Compliance & Internal Collaboration
- Coordinate with EMDs and legal counsel on contracts, subscription agreements, and offering documents.
- Ensure accurate, organized, and compliant handling of investor records and documentation.
- Track fundraising progress and deliver key metrics to executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional designation (e.g., CFA, CPA, CAIA) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in investor relations, capital raising, or private equity fundraising, ideally with exposure to real estate or alternative assets.
- Nice to have: FP&A experience to further strengthen financial modeling and analysis capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage sophisticated relationships with HNWIs, family offices, and institutional investors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into compelling investor content.
- Solid financial acumen and advanced Excel skills; ability to prepare and present investor performance analyses.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing small teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with focus and accuracy.
