Job Description Union: Non-Union
Site: Lyndhurst Rehabilitation Centre
Department: Research
Reports to: Principal Investigator
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 8 hours per week
Salary: $17.60 per hour (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Shifts: Day
Status: Temporary Casual (until Aug 30, 2026)
Closing Date: March 28, 2026
Position Summary The position will support a research project at UHN’s Lyndhurst Centre focused on the promotion of physical literacy and lifestyle medicine principles. Under the supervision of Dr Cathy Craven, the student will assist with attendance, data entry, participant support and outcome evaluation in concert with other team members, while gaining exposure to clinical research methods. This position offers hands-on experience in rehabilitation research within an interdisciplinary team environment.
Duties
- Monitoring Participant Attendance
- Collecting, Entering, Cleaning and Organizing data (Data processing)
- Participate in lifestyle medicine education sessions
- Attending weekly lab meetings
- Reviewing literature as created
- Supporting development of educational curriculum and manuscript preparation
- Conduct in-person assessments and telephone-surveys to facilitate outcomes evaluation, assist with external communications of project goals and deliverable
- Work with patients, clinicians, scientists, community and policy leaders
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled at an academic institution and pursuing a degree or diploma (e.g. undergraduate, graduate, or medical degrees, or high school or college diplomas)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with a team and independently
- Highly motivated to work in healthcare
- Proficiency with MS Office software (including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required
- Experience working in a research environment preferred
