The location in Glenwood, (Arkansas, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Industrial Electrician. This job is full‑time permanent.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively service, troubleshoot, PM (preventative maintenance), repair or install electrical equipment and related components as required — support of lumber production.
- Work in close coordination with maintenance and production employees, following direction from Supervisor and planned work from lead electronics technician.
- Troubleshoot
- Repair and install electrical equipment
- Effectively resolve problems in a timely manner
- Assemble and test experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers
- Perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Accomplish assigned tasks without direct supervision, complete all work in a thorough, safe and timely manner.
- Demonstrate competent electrical, electronic and computer troubleshooting skills associated with machinery servicing, breakdown and repair.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of electrical and electronic and computer theory and equipment.
- Must have knowledge to perform programmable controller programming.
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of process control equipment.
- Evaluate equipment operation and make recommendation for repairs.
- Must have ability to work a ten‑hour shift and any shift schedule as assigned.
- Must have ability to climb ladders / stairs and work in tight spaces and around moving equipment, work in some dark, dusty and noisy environments.
- Work in a cooperative manner with other team members.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety rules and regulations as well as using all personal protective gear / equipment as required.
- Read, write and follow maintenance work orders to facilitate machine repairs.
- Perform all assigned electrical preventative maintenance tasks.
- Must be able to walk, lift, stand, stoop, and crouch as needed to perform maintenance tasks.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs including metal cutting and welding.
- Must possess own set of tools for performing electrical maintenance work.
- Must be able to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Minimum of 2 years sawmill/heavy industry experience; with preference to sawmill experience.
- Electrical or Maintenance technical diploma or degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safe work practices and procedures.
- Working knowledge of PLC’s.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, drive alignment and conveyance.
- Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment.

- Base pay entry $28.44 per hour
- Weekly Attendance Bonus $2.00 per hour
- Production Bonus – up to $3.00 per hour
- Night Shift differential - $1.00 per hour
- Sign‑On Bonus - $2000
