**Position Title:**Learning Services Assistant
Status: Appendix D Contract (Until February 2026)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Program/Department: Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness
Campus/Location: North Campus
Salary: FT Support Payband D
Salary Range: $26.77 - $31.01
Starting Salary: $26.77
Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.

About the Learning Services Assistant Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Learning Services Assistant is the first point of contact for the Faculty of Health Sciences & Wellness (FHSW) and the main priority of this role is to provide outstanding frontline customer service and clerical support.
The Learning Services Assistant handles in person and telephone inquiries regarding FHSW program information and student support services and provides clerical support to the Centre for Innovation in Health & Wellness (CIHW), Continuous Professional Learning (CPL), Work Integrated Learning (WIL), FHSW Operations and student advising. In addition, the role liaises with faculty and staff, applicants and the Humber community. The volume and diversity of students encountered enhances the customer service requirements of this role.
The Learning Services Assistant maintains a professional office environment by coordinating incoming and outgoing mail, schedules daily courier needs, maintains office supplies, trouble shoots photocopier issues and repairs, ensures the mailroom, the general office and kitchen area are organized and places maintenance calls as needed. Clerical duties include but at are not limited to, communicating class cancellations, mid-term and final grade deadlines, assisting with the distribution and collection of surveys and expedites internal deliveries to the test centre, human resources and finance, manages assignment mailboxes and assists with special events; booking of boardrooms and orders catering when required. The Learning Services Assistant also provides back up for other staff and may work on a variety of projects and initiatives as needed. Due to the nature of faculty operations this is full time, in person position.

What you bring to the role:
- 2-year diploma or equivalent from a recognized educational institution in a related area such as education, business, or administration.
- The incumbent must have a minimum of 1-year related experience (Note: Work Integrated Learning will be considered)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience working in a busy office environment and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in a diverse, dynamic, and multicultural environment
- Experience working with student information systems and/or relatively complex computer information systems
- Ability to take direction and work independently
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite
- High degree of attention and focus to detail
