About the Position
Position TitleMarketing Coordinator
Job Type Full Time, Temporary - 35 hours per week (8 weeks)
Work Location Onsite
Reports to Manager, Marketing & Communications
Summary of Role
The Marketing Coordinator supports the promotion of TIES programs, services, and events through content creation, outreach, and campaign coordination, contributing to increased visibility and engagement.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling social media content across platforms, ensuring consistency with TIES branding and messaging
- Stay up to date with social media trends and platform features, contributing ideas for relevant and engaging content
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including drafting content, preparing visuals, and tracking engagement
- Assist with basic creation of social media content, including short-form videos (e.g., Reels) and graphics, under guidance from the Marketing team
- Support website updates, including uploading content, maintaining program information, and assisting in building or updating pages (e.g., WordPress or Webflow)
- Support event promotion by creating marketing materials, coordinating timelines, and assisting with outreach
- Assist in developing visual content such as posters, graphics, and presentations using tools like Canva or Adobe
- Maintain and organize digital marketing assets, ensuring proper storage and accessibility
- Support internal communication efforts, including drafting announcements and updates

Requirements / Qualifications
- High School Diploma or currently enrolled in college or university
- Experience working with non-profit organizations is an asset
- Comfortable with using technology, e.g. MS Office, Internet, skype, websites
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation
- International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizen or permanent residents
