Scope of the Position

Ensure our customers have the best possible experience when dealing with our company. Ensure that every process is timely, accurate and seamless with a passion for continuous improvement. Set Operational goals to ensure alignment with business unit Management to create a clear focus and direction for desired results.

Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety – Ensure company health and safety standards are met.
  • Ensure staff work together to achieve optimum efficiency and meet management’s operational and process objectives. Regular reviews with the Business Unit Leader of key performance indicators and dashboard results.
  • Improve efficiency and reduce waste in all aspects of OPCO operations.
  • Define, monitor and analyze metrics used for measurement and continuous improvement. Includes adherence to 5S methodology.
  • Customer Visits – Obtain direct feedback from our customers (personal and surveys) and use this to improve our ability to deliver exceptional service.
  • Audit – Conduct branch operational audits and work with Branch Managers/Supervisors to implement changes required to achieve a level of success. Follow up with branches on all external branch audits.
  • Work in Process Inventory Accuracy – Achieve 85% inventory accuracy through cycle counting, variance analysis and process improvement.
  • Scorecard/Checklist – Set targets, ensure results are analyzed and targets are met.
  • System Expertise – Be a system expert and resource. Responsible for all system access (SX, WISL AND RF guns).
  • Equipment – Ensure all warehouse and office equipment is maintained and in good condition. Create a replacement schedule to minimize annual fluctuations in capital investment.
  • Manage fraud and theft risk by assessing needs and developing and implementing controls. Be vigilant and work with management to respond quickly to potential breaches.
  • Manage and prioritize operational reports for review by Operations and branch staff.
  • Work with IT for computer and office equipment requirements. Ensure alignment with other OPCOs.

Education & Training

  • 5 years previous experience in Operations required.
  • 2 years minimum Management experience required.

Experience

  • University/College degree with a specialty in Operations Management an asset.
  • Six Sigma or LEAN certification preferred.

Actual compensation commensurate with the candidate’s experience, education, internal parity, role complexity, role level, and other relevant factors. The advertised salary range relates to British Columbia and is provided in accordance with the BC Pay Transparency Act. We recognize however that salaries are often driven by market forces in the local area where a candidate is based and accordingly the salary range may not apply outside of British Columbia.
