About the Role:
- Start your career in Corporate Real Estate with a position that blends data management, financial coordination, and operational support.
- This role is ideal for new graduates or early‑career professionals, including former Co‑Op or internship students, who are eager to learn how large, complex corporate real estate portfolios are managed across North America.
- You will gain hands‑on experience with industry‑leading technologies, support the full lifecycle of commercial leases, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Finance, Legal, Technology, and Real Estate.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems & Data Management
- Maintain accurate lease and financial information in the Tango lease administration platform.
- Support the migration of U.S. utilities and lease‑related data into Oracle Cloud.
- Track critical lease lifecycle dates (expirations, renewals, landlord/tenant obligations).
- Assist with the rollout and ongoing use of lease management tools.
- Maintain records and documentation for real estate transactions.
Financial Administration
- Assist with processing rent payments, invoices, and related financial transactions.
- Track brokerage commissions and rebate payments.
- Support subtenant billing and payment reconciliation.
- Help troubleshoot payment or coding issues across multiple ERP systems (Oracle Cloud, Oracle R12, SAP).
- Contribute to annual operating cost reconciliations (CAM/OpEx) and lease audits.
- Participate in planning, tracking, and verifying payment cycles.
- Support accounts receivable activities related to rent collection.
Compliance & Documentation
- Support lease accounting requirements under ASC 842.
- Coordinate documentation for acquisitions, sales, leases, and subleases.
- Request and track landlord insurance certificates.
- Assist with onboarding new suppliers in ERP systems.
- Track outstanding broker deliverables and ensure timely completion.
- Support document execution workflows and maintain compliance with corporate policies.
- Help operationalize lease requirements and prepare for internal/external audits.
Risk & Performance Support
- Monitor key lease lifecycle events to mitigate compliance risks.
- Assist in identifying potential landlord performance concerns and flag issues for review.
Qualifications (Perfect for New Grads):
Required:
- Post‑secondary education in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Real Estate, Finance, Urban Studies, or a related discipline.
- Co‑op, internship, or project experience in data management, business operations, finance, or real estate concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Clear communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Comfort working with multiple systems and an interest in learning new technologies.
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle Cloud, SAP, or Oracle R12.
- Exposure to lease administration tools (Tango, CoStar, Yardi) through coursework, projects, or work terms.
- Understanding of basic real estate or lease terminology.
- Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data cleanup).
- Experience interacting with brokers, landlords, or external vendors during school or work terms.
