About the role
Desjardins Investment Inc is seeking a Senior Quantitative Analyst to join its Structured Products Development and Management team. The team’s activities include idea generation, product development and positioning, structuring, hedging and market making. The products developed include Market-Linked Guaranteed Investments (MLGI), Desjardins structured notes for retail investors, as well as equity derivatives for institutional partners. The Desjardins Investment Savings Account, offered through brokerage networks, also falls under the team’s responsibility. Reporting to the Managing Director Head of Structured Products, you will play a key role in the development and evolution of pricing tools and quantitative models used for structuring and managing products. You will actively contribute to designing robust and competitive solutions aligned with business objectives and operational requirements. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Participate in the development and maintenance of quantitative models (e.g., equity derivative valuation)
- Develop, maintain, and enhance derivative pricing tools used in structuring
- Be responsible for creating and managing baskets of underlying securities for structured products
- Work closely with traders, product managers, sales teams, treasury, and operational functions to design analytical tools for transaction valuation
- Contribute to ideation and design of new financial products
- Ensure secondary market management for structured products
- Participate in documentation, testing, and validation of developed tools

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative finance, financial engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- CFA designation is an asset
- Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Knowledge of structured products, OTC derivatives, financial modeling, and programming (C#, Python, SQL)
- Knowledge of financial markets and regulatory frameworks
- Knowledge of hedging mechanisms and pricing models
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills, rigor, and results-oriented mindset
