Job Title: Expediter IV

Location: Houston, TX; Duluth, MN; Waltham, MA; Calgary, AB; or Edmonton, AB Duration: 12+ Months Contract-Possible Extension Pay Rate: US: $27-$33/hr on W2 Canada: CAD$40-45/hr on T4

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Expediter IV to support the Supply Chain function by expediting and tracking equipment, materials, and project deliverables required for Purchase Orders, Contracts, and Projects. This role works closely with vendors, engineering, logistics, construction, quality, and project teams to ensure materials, documentation, and deliveries remain on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Expedite assigned equipment and materials for Purchase Orders, Contracts, and Projects. Track equipment, material, and logistics activities to support project schedules. Build strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Manage vendor equipment, material documentation, and logistics. Ensure required documentation is received and managed, including drawings, RFIs, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), and Vendor Data Requirements (VDR). Review vendor fabrication schedules, inspection reports, and related documentation to identify potential delays. Communicate potential or actual delays and work with suppliers to resolve issues. Schedule, chair, document, and manage vendor supply meetings. Report equipment and material status to project stakeholders. Assist with invoice verification as required. Resolve freight claims, shipment discrepancies, quantity shortages, overages, shipment errors, and tagging issues. Coordinate logistics and equipment deliveries to project sites. Maintain expediting records for Purchase Order and Contract closeout. Provide regular updates to the Team Lead and Manager. Assist with coaching and mentoring new hires, project personnel, and vendors on expediting processes.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 9 years of applied experience in a high pace environment. Good working knowledge of expediting best practices. Understanding of logistics, purchasing, and project document requirements. Working knowledge of Engineering and Vendor Documentation. Understanding of Incoterms, shipping methods, and warehousing strategies. Strong coordination, organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Good interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of MS Windows, Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of SharePoint, Oracle Cloud, and Salesforce is an asset. Post-secondary education in Project Management, Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, B-Com, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Environment

Office environment. Occasional/minimal travel to suppliers and other operational locations as required.
