- Recruitment range: $65,860- $72,607 starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.
- Performance range: $85,633 salary range ceiling is available through annual performance increases.
Job Summary
The Graduate Administrative Coordinator (GAC) reports directly to the Gill Graduate Master Program Manager while supporting Associate Director Operations for program admissions.
Major responsibilities include the effective administration and operation of the MBA programmes and/or MM/MGB programmes, depending on the program assigned, within the Gill Graduate School, including student services (advising students and faculty on graduate program-related matters, and registration functions), admissions, communications and marketing, orientation, student award funding, program budgeting and verifying program completion. The position is the main point of contact for the Gill Graduate Master Programmes with the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) and the Graduate Admissions and Records Office (GARO). The Graduate Program Coordinator also liaises with our internal Immigration consultant, Business Co-op and Career and other units on campus in the care of incoming and continuing graduate students.
This position requires self-direction to ensure all aspects of the role including support for marketing and recruitment, admissions, pre-arrival and program support activities for students are maintained at a high level.
Job Requirements
This position requires an undergraduate degree and at least three (3) years of experience in a coordination, program administration, or similar role. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge, skills, abilities include:
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing the principles of truth, reconciliation and respect, equity diversity and inclusion, and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- Advanced proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, videoconference and website software.
- Advanced administrative and organizational skills working within a complex environment.
- Strong cultural and inter-societal acumen, in particular Indigenous acumen.
- Previous experience working independently with the proven ability to allocate time effectively while managing multiple and changing work priorities.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and discretion when dealing with applicants, students, faculty, staff, and the public.
- A strong student service ethic and a high level of integrity regarding cultural, sensitive, and confidential matters.
- Self-directed with the proven ability to determine work priorities and act on them without needing direction.
- A demonstrated ability to learn, interpret, and explain relevant policies and procedures from multiple sources.
