CNC Machine Operator
Position Summary:
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient running of CNC machines and for performing parts inspection to produce high quality automotive parts.

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hour weekly rotating shifts

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Conduct a visual walk around inspection at the beginning of each shift to ensure the machine is safe.
-
Load castings onto fixtures ensuring proper orientation and location; ensure machine properly clamps the parts in place and activates the machine cycle.

Monitor automatic operation to detect issues and remove chip accumulations from fixtures and parts.
-
Verify dimensions of machined parts using multiple gauges.

Immediately notify the quality department or supervisor if any quality checks are not met
Skills & Qualifications:

Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.

Mathematical aptitude.
-
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Strong hand/ eye coordination.
-
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
