Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician looking for a new challenge? This position will be responsible for safely operating compressor stations ensuring safety and reliability. This is a maintenance and operations position based in Savona, BC.
What you will do
- Complete the Operator Qualifications Training program for each station within your region as required.
- Operate and maintain all facility equipment at station(s) throughout the region as required.
- Complete all required safety, operations, and maintenance training.
- Create/review procedures.
- Must be willing to work away from home if required and able to work On Call and Overtime.
- Work with support groups (Planner/Finance/Pipeliners, etc).
- Be capable of working all applicable Unifor 4960 shifts.
Who you are
You have the following qualifications and skills:
Required:
- Millwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic Journeyperson
- 3 – 5 years related work experience
- Valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma
- 4th Class or Higher Power Engineer
Preferred:
- Experience Working on Turbines
- Experience working in the Oil & Gas Industry
- Experience operating a compressor station
- Ability to multi-task and change duties quickly.
- Demonstrated self-starter.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to carry out daily duties with minimal supervision and support
