Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician looking for a new challenge? This position will be responsible for safely operating compressor stations ensuring safety and reliability. This is a maintenance and operations position based in Savona, BC.

What you will do

  • Complete the Operator Qualifications Training program for each station within your region as required.
  • Operate and maintain all facility equipment at station(s) throughout the region as required.
  • Complete all required safety, operations, and maintenance training.
  • Create/review procedures.
  • Must be willing to work away from home if required and able to work On Call and Overtime.
  • Work with support groups (Planner/Finance/Pipeliners, etc).
  • Be capable of working all applicable Unifor 4960 shifts.

Who you are

You have the following qualifications and skills:

Required:

  • Millwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic Journeyperson
  • 3 – 5 years related work experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma
  • 4th Class or Higher Power Engineer

Preferred:

  • Experience Working on Turbines
  • Experience working in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Experience operating a compressor station
  • Ability to multi-task and change duties quickly.
  • Demonstrated self-starter.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to carry out daily duties with minimal supervision and support
