How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Report to the Creative Agency Director.
  • Design, conceptualize and maintain marketing assets for print and online. Projects would include billboards, in-centre signage, online digital ads, video storyboards, etc.
  • Work closely with copywriters to develop concepts, present and execute advertising materials.
  • Collaborate with marketing leaders and stakeholders to creatively support and solve their business objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects at one time, assisting team in establishing visual tone, character, and messaging to effectively communicate with the target audience and fulfill the project objectives
  • Implement a strong understanding of graphic design, typography, and design systems to inform visual design.
  • Develop creative, effective, and original communications, advertising layouts and a range of visual design.
  • Visually reflect the goals and objectives of marketing and advertising plans, develop marketing and advertising tactics/strategies.
  • Work closely with creative vendor partners to execute final artwork including motion animators, copywriters and photographers.
  • Assist in archiving all creative assets to ensure easy access.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Contributes to the overall creative direction of AMA while ensuring all marketing materials stay on Brand.

What You Bring to the Table

  • You have a university degree or post-secondary diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or a related field.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in an advertising agency, digital agency, or in-house retail creative team.
  • You have high a degree of competency with digital, static, and motion design and strong conceptual development skills, with a focus on creating clear, member/consumer-centric themes.
  • You have excellent knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and other related design software with the ability to procure and edit images that enhance conceptual themes.
  • You have strong skills in PowerPoint, any experience in video editing and animation would be a plus.
  • You’re a masterful communicator, excelling in written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • You demonstrate competence in managing deliverables and meeting project timelines.

AMA is a multi-service organization representing 1 million Albertans. While most often known for our roadside assistance program, we also offer travel, registries and insurance services, Alberta’s largest driver education school, a member rewards program and member events in our communities.
