POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of EPS molding and cutting machines, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety procedures are consistently met.

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday. 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all work is performed with safety as the top priority.
• Operate molding machines, block molding machines, and cutting equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor machine performance, material feed, cycle times, and output quality throughout production shifts.
• Assist the line operator in all phases of foam block cutting, from set-up to cutting, labeling, packing, and clean up.
• Ensure quality of product is up to established standards.
• Pack products according to specifications.
• Maintain production quotas.
• Various secondary work on drill, saws, gluing, etc.
• Complete paperwork as required.
• All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Familiarity with EPS manufacturing equipment, including molding and cutting machines, is an asset.
• Ability to understand production drawings, machine settings, and technical instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and computer skills for data entry and machine interface use.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices, WHMIS, and lockout/tagout procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing production environment preferred.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of production machinery and mechanical systems.
• Experience with shift work and meeting production targets is an asset.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or loading dock environment, including exposure to varying temperatures.
