Position Summary The Traffic & Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the shipment and movement of materials between Vecima's warehouses, ensuring all outgoing shipments meet company standards for accuracy, quality, and documentation. This role includes preparing and scanning shipments, operating vehicles and forklifts, and assisting with loading/unloading freight.

Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To)

  • Determine method of shipments, utilize knowledge of shipping procedures.
  • Prepare all outgoing shipments as per Vecima Standards to move between warehouses
  • Accurately record weight, dimensions and number of packages for all outbound shipments
  • Affix shipping labels and the necessary documents as well as scan all packed shipments for accuracy
  • Operating a cube van to shuttle material between warehouses
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications, standards and quality
  • Follow procedures for any material movement
  • Meet the daily shipping targets as determined by the Sales Operations and Production Manager, R&D etc.
  • Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading
  • Take pictures and report any damages to incoming freights to the concerned departments/personnel for further action
  • Monitor all outbound deliveries and take necessary actions
  • Use a variety of software and database programs that belong to Vecima, as well as carriers
  • Ensure the safe operation of tier-lift truck and/or forklifts to load, unload, move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
  • Follow safety precautions and guidelines when working with hazardous materials, heavy loads, electrical circuits, equipment, etc.
  • Conform to Electrostatic Discharge Control (ESD)
  • Monitor and administer ISO standards, including the Vecima Workmanship Standard
  • Work as part of a team to constantly improve performance, productivity and quality
  • Represent the company with a positive manner in all interactions
  • Assist with other required duties

Position Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in shipping logistics, both domestic and international
  • Grade 12 is required
  • Education in both domestic and international shipping procedures preferred
  • Basic computer skills - ability to work with excel sheets and create shipping documents; work with word documents to update and create work instructions
