Position Summary
Reporting to the Branch Manager, theTrucking Coordinatorwill be essential in managing the day-to-day trucking operations. You will work closely with drivers, dispatchers, and clients to coordinate deliveries, optimize routes, and ensure clear communication among all parties.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and has a strong understanding of trucking operations and logistics.
This position is Full-Time and is based out of ourFort McMurray**location.
Time Commitment
Work Schedule is Rotation basedYou may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management.
Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):
-**Business Development & Client Engagement:**Develop strong client relationships with contractors and equipment users, managing calls, lead follow-ups, and rental/transport coordination for drilling and production equipment. -**Transportation Operations Management:**Manage day-to-day transportation operations, including dispatching, routing, and scheduling. -**Driver Support:**Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing guidance, addressing concerns, and ensuring adherence to safety policies. -**Fleet Tracking:**Monitor truck and trailer availability, ensure proper assignment, and assist in managing fleet resources. -**Regulatory Compliance:**Support compliance with transportation regulations, including hours of service, weight limits, and safety requirements. -**Documentation & Reporting:**Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and other operational reports. -**Problem Solving:**Quickly address operational issues such as delays, route changes, or equipment problems to maintain service standards.
Required Competencies
- Minimum 2–3 years of Supervisory experience in oilfield trucking coordination, dispatch, or logistics support.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with dispatch software, transportation management systems, and route planning tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems efficiently.
Working Conditions
- Flexible and willing to be on call during rotation.
- Willing to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions
