About the role
Intermediate Electrical Engineer Location : Cloverdale, BC (On-site)
Job Type : Full-time
Hours: 40 per week
Position Overview - Reporting to our engineering team, you will assist in electrical inspections, prepare planning reports, and support the deployment of commercial, public, and residential EV charging solutions. You'll also contribute to R&D, programming, and manufacturing projects as we develop new electrical and green technologies.
Key Responsibilities -
- Conduct site visits and perform electrical inspections.
- Prepare electrical planning reports and EV-ready plans.
- Support development of new EV charging and distribution solutions.
- Assist with permit applications, R&D, and product development.
- Collaborate on the ongoing development of the G.O.A.T Power Manager.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing arm when required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering (good standing with EGBC), or registered as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT).
- Experience with electrical planning (commercial & residential).
- Strong report writing and customer relations experience.
- Observant, detail-oriented, and safety-minded.
- Comfortable working independently and remotely.
- Valid BC driver's license.
Bonus Qualifications -
- Experience with Fluke meters and electrical inspection tools.
- Familiarity with BCHydro processes and rebate programs.
- Knowledge of power factor correction, strata projects, and large-scale installations.
- Background in software, app development, or Arduino-based systems.
- Experience with Wi-Fi deployment, broadband, and network integration.
- Manufacturing or permit application experience.
- Passion for automotive and green technologies.
Additional Details
- Start Date: August
- Schedule: 40 hours per week (flexibility may be possible)
- ~75% of time will be spent on site inspections and reporting; remainder on development and R&D.
- Probationary Period: 3 months, with potential for permanent employment.
- Inspection and reporting equipment will be provided.
- Relocation and accommodations are not provided.
