Diabetes Depot is an online pharmacy and Canada’s original one-stop-shop for insulin supplies. We carry diabetes care products and offer significant savings on insulin pump supplies to assist Canadian insulin pumpers.
Diabetes Depot is operated by LMC Pharmacy – Brampton, where we specialize in diabetes training and education. We are a full-service pharmacy and offer complete prescription services to all patients.
Our progressive team is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join us on a permanent, part-time basis at Diabetes Depot located in our LMC Brampton location. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations at Diabetes Depot. This role focuses primarily on order fulfillment, shipping, inventory management, and customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail, fulfillment, or pharmacy setting.
Job Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment & Shipping
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Process shipments through courier and postal systems
- Ensure timely dispatch and communicate any shipping delays or issues
Inventory Management
- Receive, label, and stock incoming inventory
- Track stock levels and report low or out-of-stock items
- Help maintain an organized and clean stockroom
Customer Service
- Assist customers by phone and by email
- Handle product inquiries and provide information about diabetes supplies
- Support problem resolution for orders, returns, or exchanges
General Support
- Maintain a tidy workspace and support day-to-day operations of the store & pharmacy
- Assist with administrative or clerical tasks as needed
- Follow proper procedures for recordkeeping and privacy (e.g., HIPAA/PIPEDA compliance)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous retail, pharmacy, or fulfillment experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using computers and inventory/order management systems
- Commitment to patient care and confidentiality
- Availability 2-3 days a week, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, with flexibility to provide after-hour service as needed
