Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. (Bilton) is seeking an Estimator with a solid foundation in fabrication and a strong aptitude for learning. Prior estimating experience is not required — what matters most is a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
In this role, you’ll contribute to developing accurate and competitive proposals for complex fabrication and manufacturing projects. Your Role as Our Estimator:
In this career-defining role, you’ll transform specs, drawings, and concepts into winning proposals that keep Bilton at the forefront of fabrication.
- Review proposal specifications and drawings to define work scope and estimate requirements.
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for conceptual, design-build, and tender projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Recommend innovative, cost-effective solutions without compromising precision.
- Manage client clarifications and deliver on time, high-impact proposals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of fabrication, shop, or industrial experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), CRM (Salesforce), and ERP/MRP software (M2M an asset).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork abilities.
- A career-minded focus with the drive to grow, lead, and make your mark.
