About the Position

The role involves supporting the development of effective maintenance plans and schedules designed to maximize the efficiency of the site's maintenance teams and promote improvements in equipment performance. The Work Management Coordinator is accountable for the department’s maintenance plans and schedules. He/she is also responsible for facilitating communication between the centralized Asset Management function and the site team and ensuring successful execution of the maintenance plan.

Key Accountabilities

Own the maintenance schedule during its development and support adherence to the site maintenance schedule. Ensure clear and transparent communication between various site departments, conveying feedback and changes related to the maintenance plan and enhancing overall site efficiency.

Planning and Scheduling

Maintain ongoing communication with the planning team and supervisors by providing insights and feedback to support the development of short- and long-term maintenance plans, including resource availability considerations. Ensure approval of the final maintenance schedule and distribute schedules to execution and operations teams. Responsible for creating job packages/work orders and other materials required to execute work.

Plan Execution

Work closely with the Supply Chain team to track parts and materials required for the weekly maintenance plan and implement solutions to address shortages or delays when necessary. Monitor maintenance plan progress, address variances, and make adjustments as required during ramp-up periods. Liaise with local business partners who may provide additional resources or specialized expertise when required.

Analysis and Opportunity Identification

Participate in weekly planning and backlog review meetings to identify current and emerging priorities and provide feedback to the central planning team. Conduct field observations of ongoing work to identify improvement opportunities and provide feedback to the planning function. Monitor planning KPIs on a weekly basis and work toward continuous improvement. Education and Experience

Knowledge Strong knowledge of maintenance principles and industry standards. Strong understanding of work management processes. Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling practices. General understanding of performance metrics and their interpretation. Experience with and knowledge of SAP.

Experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in heavy industry or asset management-related role. Experience in both equipment maintenance and maintenance planning is required. Experience with manual and computerized maintenance planning systems.

Skills and Competencies

Ability to prioritize tasks based on importance. Proven problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizational levels, both in person and virtually. Ability to quickly assess information, identify issues and opportunities, and apply sound professional judgment and critical thinking. Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders across Dhilmar, including Central Asset Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and external partners. Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing, multidisciplinary, and diverse team.

Working Conditions

The position is site-based and requires travel throughout the plant and field locations. Work is performed in a diverse and multidisciplinary environment. Work schedule: 14 days on, followed by 14 days off. Flexible scheduling is required to accommodate the global nature of the work. Éléonore Mine Site (chartered flights provided from Montréal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d'Or, and Wemindji).
