Job Description
Are you a storyteller, a creative thinker, and a detail-driven organizer all rolled into one? We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Specialist who can bring fresh ideas, sharp writing, and strong design skills to our team. This 14-month contract role (with the possibility of becoming permanent) is your chance to make a real impact—supporting internal and external communications, amplifying our brand, and helping us connect meaningfully with our people and communities.
This role reports to the Marketing Manager and plays a key part in driving engaging content, improving processes, and ensuring our brand voice is heard clearly and consistently.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the Marketing Manager to manage and track the yearly marketing content plan.
- Review and refine processes to make sure our messages shine across all internal and external channels.
- Create and update internal content that keeps our people connected and informed.
- Write and edit content for websites, social media, newsletters, reports, print, and more.
- Review creative assets designed in-house, working with vendors when needed, and keep everything on-brand.
- Support the execution of events—from internal townhalls to conferences and external sponsorships.
- Bring forward new ideas and perspectives to strengthen our marketing and communications strategies.
- Coordinate marketing projects and help keep everything running smoothly.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- 5–7 years’ experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Strong writing and editing skills- you know how to grab attention and keep it.
- A creative background with graphic design knowledge.
- Comfort with tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Sprout, Hootsuite, or Notion.
- An understanding of how to build effective communications strategies for both internal and external audiences.
- A proactive, independent work style—and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
