What your days will look like as a Maintenance Supervisor:

The Maintenance Supervisor assigns work to their team, ensuring the availability of equipment, materials, special tools, procedures, and instructions required to carry out tasks safely and efficiently. They also ensure the quality follow-up of assigned work.

  • Supervise and manage team members according to TERMONT policies, processes, and procedures
  • Supervise and manage contractors according to TERMONT policies, processes, and procedures
  • Provide leadership in enforcing safety policies
  • Organize and lead the shift start-up dashboard
  • Determine the priority of work orders during the shift
  • Ensure that work areas and equipment are clean and safe
  • Create and track work orders in the CMMS system
  • Review work plans before assigning them

What it takes to succeed as a Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Strong sense of priorities, initiative, analytical and teamwork skills, and good judgment
  • Training in diesel mechanics (heavy equipment or construction machinery), electromechanics, or industrial maintenance
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing personnel, preferably with unionized staff (an asset)
  • Experience in an environment where maintenance best practices and health/safety culture are prioritized
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain a positive work environment, excellent communication, leadership, and coaching abilities
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
