Groupe Nordik is the leading creator of wellness spa villages, including the largest spa (Chelsea, QC) and the largest event sauna (Whitby, ON) in North America.
Since opening our doors in 2005, we have grown to now welcome over 500,000 visitors per year across our 3 existing locations (Nordik Spa Village Chelsea (QC), Thermea Spa Village Winnipeg (MB), and Whitby (ON)).

What you will do:
The Architectural Technologist plays a central role between design and the technical realization of projects. Working closely with designers, they model concepts using virtual models, renderings, and virtual reality until approval is obtained. Depending on the scope of the project, they coordinate with external architects and engineers to ensure compliance with the design, construction standards, and BIM standards.
When a project can be completed internally, they prepare the construction drawings themselves. They also produce shop drawings for furniture manufactured by our carpenters. They ensure the technical quality and coherence of projects, while respecting standards, sustainability objectives, and BIM standards.
Responsibilities:
- Model buildings, baths, furniture, equipment, and other design elements in 3D at various project phases;
- Produce virtual models, renderings, videos, and virtual reality files to support the development and approval of concepts;
- Prepare working drawings and shop drawings;
- Coordinate between disciplines and with various professionals and contractors;
- Review plans and models as part of quality control to ensure compliance with the approved design, construction standards, and the company’s BIM standards;
- Gather constraints, standards, regulations, and codes in effect that may affect your projects, and ensure your projects comply with them;
- Research materials, hardware, furnishings, technologies, and conduct comparisons;
- Conduct follow-ups, site visits, surveys, update plans, and produce as-built drawings;
- Propose solutions to resolve encountered issues;
- Travel as needed according to projects.
To be successful in this position you will need:
- Minimum of a college diploma (DEC) in architectural technology or vocational diploma (DEP) in building drafting;
- Minimum of 3 (three) years’ experience in a similar role;
- Excellent knowledge of the Autodesk AEC suite (Revit, AutoCAD, ReCap, Navisworks), Autodesk Construction Cloud, Enscape, and MS Office;
- English is essential for our operations outside of Quebec.
