Lakeland College is looking for a skilled and creative Horticultural Technician to join our Grounds team.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance campus grounds through seasonal turf care, planting, pruning, and landscape upkeep
- Install, maintain, and repair both hardscapes (paths, patios, retaining walls) and softscapes (gardens, trees, lawns)
- Support snow removal and ice control during winter months
- Contribute to landscape planning and design projects
- Operate equipment safely and assist with daily maintenance and minor mechanical upkeep
Job Requirements
- Diploma in horticulture or a related field
- At least two years of hands-on horticulture experience
- Knowledge of hardscape and softscape installation methods
- Valid Landscape Pesticide Applicators License
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and leadership ability
- Experience with landscape design and software is an asset
Additional Information
This is a Temporary Full-Time AUPE position within the Grounds Department, based at our Lloydminster campus.
The competition will remain open until November 30, 2025, or until a suitable candidate is found.
