##Parks And Recreation Facility Attendant

(CUPE Auxiliary)

The City of Pitt Meadows is recruiting an Auxiliary Parks and Recreation Facility Attendant to support our Grabenhorst Garden and other municipal parks. Reporting to the Manager of Parks, this position is a stewardship-focused role that provides general assistance to the public, sets up equipment for programs and events, performs simple janitorial tasks, and provides excellent customer service to park visitors.

Hours will vary based on operational needs and shifts will be primarily scheduled on weekends from 8:00am – 7:00pm. Applicants must be able to provide flexible availability.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by some related experience, or completion of a certificate program in recreation; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Experience providing excellent customer service to internal and external contacts.

  • Strong and effective communication skills.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Valid B.C. Driver’s License.

  • St. John’s First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
