Job Title: Sales Analyst, Intermediate
Job Summary
Maintains key sales and financial systems. Conducts sales segmentation and analysis. Acts as the primary resource to all departments on both short-term and long-term projections for the overall business outlook. Manages large datasets used to analyze light vehicles, commercial trucks, and off-highway equipment production trends. Maintains company performance management system including auditing monthly KPI results and assisting with the development and testing of new KPIs.
Responsibility
- Maintains key sales and financial Information systems and serves as the lead sales analyst and reporting liaison.
- Conducts sales segmentation analysis across all entities and business units.
- Provides insight and guidance to sales, finance, IT and manufacturing departments in the preparation and reporting of key sales figures.
- Manages Mobility Group quoting system and maintains key reports for new business wins and active quotes, serving as the key contact for the Linamar sales team.
- Analyzes large datasets and consolidates into meaningful and effective reports and presentations.
- Gathers information from a variety of internal and external sources and provides value-added analysis.
- Maintains information flow to a variety of stakeholders to provide effective and timely market data.
Academic/Educational Requirements
- A university degree in business administration, economics, commerce, or equivalent education and experience
Required Skills/Experience
- One to three years of market research experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Microsoft Power BI experience would be considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Basic knowledge of automotive engine and transmission architectures and related components.
- Basic knowledge of commercial vehicle, Industrial, and off-highway construction industries.
- Ability to work independently while also engaging in team initiatives, joining efforts of those in other departments / locations.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize and manage large datasets using analytical tools.
- Experience with S&P automotive forecast data would be considered an assets
