We are hiring a Maintenance Shop Laborer to support shop and facility operations through general labor, maintenance support, and housekeeping activities.

Work Location & Schedule

  • Location: Moncton, NB

  • Schedule: Full-time

  • Shift: Day shift 10hr, Afternoon 10hr

This role involves working in a shop or industrial environment and may include both indoor and outdoor tasks.

The Role
As a Maintenance Shop Laborer, you will support daily shop and facility operations by performing general labor and basic maintenance tasks. You will work closely with maintenance and skilled trades staff to ensure the shop remains clean, organized, safe, and operational.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform basic carpentry and minor repair work

  • Assist with painting projects, including surface preparation and touch-ups

  • Support general building and facility maintenance tasks

  • Lift, move, and stage materials, equipment, and supplies

  • Load and unload deliveries as required

  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely

  • Complete daily housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, waste removal, oil cleanup, and work-area organization

  • Clean and perform basic upkeep on shop tools and equipment

  • Report damaged tools, unsafe conditions, or hazards to supervision

  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in Experience in mechanical maintenance with on road heavy equipment, maintenance, construction, or industrial labor is an asset

  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, and hand and power tools

  • Strong commitment to safety and reliability

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
