###About the role
###Who you are
- This role is for someone who is eager to learn in a fast-moving environment and ready to collaborate across disciplines
- A great co-op on our team is someone who:
- Brings curiosity to every problem — asks thoughtful questions and digs into the "why"
- Shows up consistently to team rituals and engages meaningfully in design critique
- Takes feedback openly and iterates quickly without losing their point of view
- Communicates proactively — flags blockers early and keeps collaborators in the loop
- Builds genuine relationships across the team and with cross-functional partners
- Demonstrates growth over the course of the internship — in craft, process, and confidence
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary undergraduate or graduate degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, or a related discipline
- A portfolio that demonstrates your design process, visual craft, and ability to solve real user problems
- Proficiency in Figma
- A foundational understanding of user-centered design principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using AI tools in your design workflow
- Some exposure to user research methods (interviews, usability testing, etc.)
###What the job involves
- Launch your Product Design career! We're looking for a Product Design Co-op to join our team and work on real, meaningful projects from day one
- You'll be embedded in the Product Design team, paired with a mentor, and given the opportunity to contribute to features that ship to real users
- You'll work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers — getting hands-on experience with the full product development lifecycle
- Gain exposure to client work: You'll contribute to external client-facing projects and learn how to balance user needs, business goals, stakeholder input, and technical constraints in your decision making
- Contribute to a design initiative: Whether it’s standardizing our accessibility practice or defining baseline UX standards for AI experiences, you'll make a meaningful contribution beyond your core project
- Participate in team rituals: You'll be an active voice in critiques, standups, and design reviews — sharing your work, giving feedback, and growing through the process
- Build cross-functional relationships: You'll collaborate with Product and Engineering, developing the communication and partnership skills that great designers rely on
- Security-related Responsibilities:
- Compliance with Information Security Policies
- Compliance with League’s secure coding practice
- Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures
- Notification of HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or policy violations
###The application process
- As part of your application, please record a 1-minute video answering:
- “Why do you want to work at League?”
- Upload your video to Google Drive or YouTube, and share the link in a clickable PDF with your application
- Applying to a role you love can be exhausting, and understanding the next steps can feel vague and uncertain. You have done the hard part of submitting your application; let's do ours by sharing potential next steps
- You should receive a confirmation email after submitting your application
- A recruiter (not a computer) reviews all applications at League
- If we see alignment with League's needs, a recruiter will reach out to learn more about your goals. The recruiter will also share the team-specific interview process depending on the roles you are exploring
- The final step is an offer, which we hope you will accept!
- Prior to joining us, we conduct reference and background checks. Additional checks could be required for US Candidates, depending on the role you are exploring
###Benefits

- 401(k) and RRSP matching programs
- Health, lifestyle, learning and family spending accounts
- Employee stock option program (ESOP)
- Generous leaves (including parental and sabbatical)
- Flexible time off
