Role Description This full-time, on-site Tire and Lube Technician role is based in Oakville, ON. The Tire and Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, tire installations, and basic inspections. Day-to-day tasks include checking fluid levels, replacing filters, inspecting brakes and suspension components, and identifying basic maintenance needs. The role involves working closely with service advisors and other technicians to ensure vehicles are serviced efficiently, safely, and in line with manufacturer standards. The technician is expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, follow all safety procedures, and provide clear communication about vehicle status and recommended services.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in routine vehicle maintenance, including Vehicle Maintenance, Maintenance & Repair, and basic inspections. Candidates should possess skills related to lubrication services, such as performing Oil Changes and fluid checks. Candidates should possess skills in basic Automotive Repair, including minor repairs and component replacements. Candidates should possess skills in Suspension and tire-related work, including tire mounting, balancing, and suspension checks. Relevant qualifications include prior experience in an automotive service environment, familiarity with manufacturer service guidelines, and the ability to use standard shop tools and equipment. Additional beneficial qualifications include an automotive service technician certificate or apprenticeship experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment.
