Yeti Refrigeration was founded in 2016 by Byron and Alison Conroy with a commitment to delivering exceptional refrigeration and HVAC services across Northern BC and the Okanagan. Backed by more than 20 years of industry experience, our ownership team leads a skilled group of Red Seal Refrigeration Mechanics operating from our Prince George and Vernon locations. Our technicians are also Alfa Laval Factory Authorized Service Technicians and Armstrong Pumps factory-trained.

About the Opportunity
Yeti Refrigeration is looking for two full-time Refrigeration Mechanics, Red Seal or 3rd/4th Year Apprentices , based in Prince George, B.C., with 25% travel throughout Northern B.C.
In these roles, you’ll support both service and construction work across Northern BC, contributing to commercial and industrial refrigeration projects while working closely with an experienced, collaborative team.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing repairs, maintenance, and service on commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control issues across a wide range of equipment
- Supporting multi-million-dollar construction and installation projects as needed
- Collaborating with colleagues and working effectively as part of a service and construction team
- Providing exceptional customer service while representing the company on client sites
- Completing required documentation, service reports, and safety paperwork
- Conducting diagnostic testing and calibrating system components and controls
- Traveling throughout Northern BC for service calls and short project assignments
- Operating and maintaining company-provided tools, equipment, and service vehicle
- Communicating clearly with customers, supervisors, and team members
- Demonstrating a strong safety-first mindset across all tasks
- Taking initiative and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery
About You
To qualify, you will need to be a Red Seal-certified Refrigeration Mechanic or a 3rd or 4th year Apprentice with commercial or industrial experience. A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and clean driver’s abstract will also be essential. A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration, service, or construction environments will set you up for success.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Industrial ammonia refrigeration experience
- Electrical, controls, or automation experience
- Dual-ticket background (e.g., Pipefitter or Welder)
- Experience working on both construction and service projects
- Strong mechanical aptitude across a variety of commercial and industrial systems

Compensation based on skills and experience is a competitive hourly rate of $40-$65/hr , with Red Seals typically earning $55-$65/hr , along with a host of excellent benefits including:
