Cambrian Credit Union is seeking a Wealth & Advisory Sales & Support Specialist to join our Wealth & Advisory Services Team.

The Wealth & Advisory Sales & Support Specialist consistently delivers high quality administrative and sales support within Cambrian’s Wealth & Advisory department. The position will encompass key support through being the administrative lead and support with converting portfolios between the various platforms, including: Credential Asset Management (CAM); Credential Securities (CS); Cambrian’s Retail Deposits; VirtualWealth (VW) and Qtrade Investor (QI).

In the role of Wealth & Advisory Sales & Support Specialist, you will:

  • Direct lead in maintaining seamless account transitions; supportive of positive overall member experience. Acting as primary liaison with Aviso Wealth utilizing Online Service Management (OSM) and Cambrian support teams. Identify to the Manager Wealth & Advisory Services additional growth & portfolio opportunities in converting investors to full service relationships. (PAC; SWP; EFT).

  • Provide detailed support and reporting with transitioning existing investor portfolios between Cambrian’s Wealth Management platforms (CAM; CS; Retail Branch; QI; VW). Including preparation of trade execution for all investment transactions.

  • Work collaboratively with the Wealth Advisor Associate & Wealth Services & CAM Compliance Specialist, providing daily service and support to the advisory team. Prepare Aviso Wealth & Cambrian documentation (KYC & KYP) required for opening and maintaining accounts in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Support with management of member deposits held with Cambrian, including but not limited to annual renewal communications. Soliciting and consolidating non-Cambrian deposits through appropriate referral within Wealth & Advisory Services team.

  • Accurate maintenance and updating of investor profiles into Cambrian’s Wealth Management Dashboard, including task and annual review management process.

  • Remain current on all Aviso Program Member Owned solutions, including but not limited to solutions through NEI Investments; OnPoint Managed Portfolios (OMP); OnPoint Pooled (OPI); Credential Managed Account (CMA).

  • Maintain accurate reporting on all Wealth Management investment referrals.

  • Provide Back-Up Credential Asset Management Branch Compliance Manager duties within two years of

    accepting the role

Your Education & Experience:

  • Minimum education level of Grade 12 or equivalent, with post-secondary education considered an asset.
  • Minimum two years demonstrated proficiency in retail financial services.
  • Experience within a wealth management services operation would be an asset.
  • Completion of the Branch Compliance Officer Course within 18 months of assuming this position is required.
  • Licensing with MFDA in good standing, or ability to become licensed within 18 months
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and complete basic to intermediate math functions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Proficient in PC applications of Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • Creative thinker/ problem solver, with a member-centred approach and strong drive to continuously improve and add value to the business.
  • Ability to work well in an environment with multiple and often changing priorities
