About The Team We conduct hundreds of live auctions each year around the world. It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.

Job Description A Service Advisor provides maintenance and repair guidance for loaders and heavy equipment, coordinating repair estimates, parts ordering, and service scheduling. The position oversees maintenance logs, analyzes repair and maintenance data, and prepares reports to support budgeting and operational planning. Regular interaction with branch staff, repair vendors, and equipment dealerships is required, along with occasional travel to branch locations and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance repair advice on all loaders and equipment
  • Responsible for coordination of estimates and repairs on all loaders and equipment
  • Order and maintain remote inventory of essential parts for repair and maintenance
  • Oversee and audit the maintenance repair logs on all machines to aid in budgeting process for upcoming R&M requirements on a per branch and per machine basis
  • Research parts pricing and labor estimates
  • Travel required to branches and meetings on an as needed basis
  • Analyze and create reports and spreadsheets
  • Interactions with branch staff, repair shops, and heavy equipment dealerships
  • Other duties as assigned per business needs

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of prior experience as a service writer at an auto or heavy machinery dealership preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate and relate to all levels (inc. most senior) within IAA, client’s organizations, and strategic partners through any available medium (verbal, listening, writing, and presenting)
  • Demonstrate professionalism
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines under demanding work conditions
  • Ability to lower repair and maintenance costs
  • Ability to work with repair and maintenance service providers to assess service needs
  • Experience as a heavy equipment mechanic a plus
  • Work both indoors and outdoors year-round, and climb on and off large equipment and trucks
  • Travel upto 25% of time
