About the role
General Responsibility
We are hiring for multiple Summer Student positions in Career Services, Administration, Front Desk, Youth Programs, LINC, Catering, and HR.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Practitioners and case managers to recruit clients and volunteers for group activities
- Assist Practitioners and case managers to promote services
- Assist Practitioners and case managers to organize various activities, including workshops, presentations, peer support group activities, seniors’ activities, field trips, signature events, and outreach
- Assist Practitioners and case managers to collect feedback/required data to report to the funder
- Respect and follow policies and guidelines of CFN’s confidentiality, resources, materials, equipment, etc.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience working in Administration or related field
- Full Computer Literacy skills; Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office program and data entry
- Accurate attention to details
- Strong team player and communication skills
- Problem solving skills and resourcefulness to develop new ideas and administrative procedures
- Culturally competent, familiar serving clients from around the world
- Able to be flexible and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year
- Student in a post secondary, vocational or technical program are eligible
- Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or a person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Student is legally entitled to work in Canada
- Between 18 to 30 years of age at the start of employment
- was registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year;
- intends to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year;
- Foreign students are not eligible.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day for 8 weeks.
