Job summary
As a member of the store"s Management Team, the Service Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Automotive Service Centre team by ensuring that the department operates efficiently with friendly and informed staff to offer the ultimate customer experience to build customer trust and loyalty. Reporting to the Store Manager/General Manager/Associate Dealer, the Service Manager works collaboratively with the Associate Dealer to establish sales objectives, cost controls and strategies for growth and profitability in the Automotive Service Centre.

You"ll assist the Service Manager in leading frontline staff, maintaining workflow, and ensuring smooth communication between techs, advisors, and customers.

Responsibilities:
What We"re Looking For:
- 2+ years in an automotive shop leadership or assistant manager role
- Strong experience managing or coordinating service technicians
- Confident decision-maker with excellent time management skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Familiarity with CoStar or other shop management systems (asset)
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
- Mechanical and automotive knowledge is an asset
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset, not required
Requirements / Skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Help manage daily shop workflow and technician dispatching
- Coordinate repair orders and scheduling with service advisors
- Support a team of 310S techs, apprentices, tire/lube techs, and co-op students
- Maintain quality standards, repair timelines, and customer service excellence
- Review and present repair estimates directly to customers
- Assist in tracking KPIs, reviewing completed jobs, and monitoring efficiency
- Support employee onboarding, task delegation, and issue resolution
- Address escalated customer concerns with professionalism and clarity
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and environmental guidelines
