About the role
We are seeking a Senior AI Researcher for a 3-month contract to support our client in advancing machine learning solutions for energy and environmental domains. This role will focus on developing and deploying predictive models using time-series data, with a particular emphasis on applications related to SCADA systems and solar PV analytics. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineers and researchers to deliver high-impact outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and evaluate predictive machine learning models for time-series data.
- Apply ML, MLOps, and data science practices to real-world energy and environmental datasets.
- Collaborate with the team to integrate solutions into existing systems and workflows.
- Research and prototype AI-driven approaches for optimization and forecasting
- Document findings, methodologies, and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, AI, or related field.
- 5+ years experience as a Software Developer, ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or AI Researcher.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Prophet).
- Demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling with time-series data.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and model deployment.
- Hands-on experience working with SCADA systems, solar PV analytics, or other energy/environmental domains.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
