Your Opportunity:
The Senior Financial Analyst is a supporting role within Finance. This role is accountable for the delivery, integration and evaluation of finance processes, solutions and services to an identified client group, ensuring they align with, and support PCA provincial approaches, organization priorities and direction and evolving best practices. On the direction of Finance Leadership, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide finance and business systems expertise and day-to-day tactical support to organizational projects and initiatives; and act as the main point of contact for an identified client group while supporting a values-based approach for people, decision-making, and support the achievement of identified goals and objectives related to our people and contributing to the achievement of the PCA vision. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible and accountable in the preparation, delivery and evaluation of financial results and processes; providing budgeting support, as well as finance/business advice to an identified client group in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Primary Care Alberta. The Senior Financial Analyst works effectively within a team environment, providing leadership, support, coaching/mentoring, and expert counsel to colleagues and co-workers on all aspects of financial operations. The position required a client focused individual with the ability to create strong partnerships with various organizational stakeholders. There are 2 positions available.
Description:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will coordinate and/or prepare complex financial and statistical analysis and reports, along with providing interpretation of analyses and reports to support business and external requirements. Your work will be focused on budgets, forecasting, recommendations for program and/or cost efficiencies and development or enhancements to processes and controls. In addition, you will coordinate and monitor progress of financial projects, as well as coach and guide other department staff such as Financial Analysts.

Required Qualifications:
Post secondary degree specializing in accounting or related field (e.g. economics, statistics).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Intermediate MS Excel skills. Minimum of four (4) years of accounting or financial experience. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to think and act strategically and systematically. Work with minimum supervision. Ability to meet defined deadlines. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working towards or completion of a professional accounting/ finance designation or MBA. Financial experience in a Health Care environment. Strong working knowledge of Oracle & Hyperion applications. Experience providing financial advice to leadership positions.
